    The Science is Simple

    At ZiwiPeak the science is simple. Just as in their natural, wild habitat, your cat or dog has a digestion system has evolved to thrive on a raw meat and organs diet. So ZiwiPeak is just as nature intended: 90% real raw meat, organs and fish in its dry food.

    The remaining 10% consists of carbohydrates from natural sources, such as chicory, parsley and kelp, plus essential vitamins and minerals for a balanced diet, like chondroitin and glucosamine. This means there’s no needs for you to provide any further nutritional support in the form of supplements.

    Safety and Convenience

    The best diet you can give your pet is a raw meat diet. But this presents safety and hygiene issues of handling raw meat, especially around children, as well as the inconvenience of thawing raw meat from the freezer. Our air dried cuisine eliminates the inconvenience and safety issues of dealing with raw meat and captures the vast majority of the benefits of raw through our unique air drying system and canning process.

    Unique Drying System

    It is the only shelf stable alternative to raw. This unique air drying process minimises any damage to the proteins, vitamins and sensitive nutrients and enzymes. ZiwiPeak takes raw meat, organs, fish and NZ green lipped mussels and gently removes the water from them using a unique air drying process. The result is a dry real meat food high in protein at over 33% and 90% real meat overall. 

    Our high meat content also means that the dry cuisine is over 95% digestible, so your dog or cat is actually able to process what it eats and use it for fuel.

    Moist Option

    There is also a canned option available, for pet owners that prefer to feed their pets moist food. The canned ZiwiPeak contains a minimum of 66% raw meat, with the balance being moisture and other essential vitamins and minerals as in the dry cuisine.
