We’re a New Zealand owned and operated family business, passionate about dogs and cats and providing them with the best nutrition possible, in a safe and convenient form and without the need for any fillers or added supplements.

So it’s important to us that we know exactly what’s in the pet food we make for your loved ones from beginning to end - and we do.

Natural Ingredients

We believe that ZiwiPeak nutrition is the healthiest choice after raw feeding because it emulates the wild prey diet their digestive systems were designed to thrive on.

ZiwiPeak is made of 100% all natural ingredients, all sourced from the grass-fed pastures and surrounding oceans of New Zealand. Our farming suppliers do not use preservatives or added hormones. Our products are also GMO free, with no ethoxyquin, BHA or BHT and no propylene glycol.

Our only source of ingredients is New Zealand and we don’t use any added sugars, salt, glycerines, antibiotics, hormones, growth promotants, fillers, grains or potatoes.  These are all nasties commonly found in cheaper pet foods that your animal’s digestion system struggles to process.  

New Zealand is world renowned and highly respected for its clean, green, high quality meat, fish and shellfish ingredients. It is also the only country in the world where green lipped mussels are available, famous for their joint-healing properties because they contain high levels of glucosamine, chondroitin and omega 3 and 6.  They are included in the ZiwiPeak cuisine for your best friend.

Climate and Carbon Footprint

New Zealand’s mild year-round climate means that this grass-fed environment is possible all year round, unlike the harsh European and North American winters. It also means that, even with the transport from New Zealand to the American and EU markets, the carbon footprint of these New Zealand ingredients is substantially lower than their American and EU equivalents.

We have traceability of every ingredient from pasture and ocean to your pet’s dinner bowl.  We own and operate our own factory, so that we can implement our unique gentle air drying system over these quality ingredients to ensure we preserve as many of the benefits of the raw meat, organs and fish so that it emulates the raw diet your dog or cat has evolved to thrive on.

New Zealand leads the world in the development and management of sustainable resource programmes. The country also prides itself on strict biosecurity laws. All ZiwiPeak ingredients are managed within these strictly controlled sustainable resource programmes and standards.

Our fish and shellfish ingredients are also sourced and caught under New Zealand’s world-leading fish management plan.
