Unfortunately pets cannot make decisions about what they will eat. There are products being presented to them that are full of artificial flavour enhancers to entice them to eat. They contain ingredients such as meat and bone meal that are so highly processed they have questionable nutritional value and are packed with preservatives to ensure a long 'shelf-life' at the grocery store.
Of course people believe they are providing good food for their cat or dog. Much like human nutrition, the field of feline and canine nutrition is clouded with misconceptions, misleading advertising and an overall lack of commitment to educate pet owners on matters of peak pet nutrition.
